Hello, hello, all you guys! As a good number of you already know, I spent last Saturday at the marvellous Eastern Shore Fan Con!

It was a good time in a very cool, very positive venue. For me it was a relatively local con, but news of it had attracted people who had come from as far as 4 hours away. Nice.

For a con in it’s first year, I was very pleasantly suprised with the turnout, and all the folks I got to work with were really swell. So needless to say, I for one am looking forward to what the future has in store for these dudes.

I thought I’d take this entry to post some pics and shoutouts to my homies who filled out the con experience with their respective excellence!

On a personal level, I’d like to thank Amorous Inc. for their general awesomeness, food sharing, and helping me restock my supply of cute things, Scott Markley for helping me to feel at home in a new place with our whitty conversations, Phoenix Agin for her spirit, energy and making the last couple hours of the con both fun and awesome (hope you continue to rock the con scene for many more years!), Jesse Cowan for his kindly ecouragement and his being a fellow explorer of unusual new territory drawn from out of the wellspring of culture and myth for the independent comics circuit, the ESFC Convention Staff, and lastly Douglas Draper, an amazing established local comic artist for giving of himself and his time to show a rookie like me the ropes of breaking into the industry. I can only hope to run into you guys again sometime, so here’s to a great new con!
