Don’t normally comment but…. that hydra seems too convenient a monster. Like someone brought back a ‘powerful’ monster just to showcase the “return of the gods.”
How long has it been for a true monster to show up? This may be the first in the story (Wolves aren’t monsters in my book. They can be reasoned with, to the point of domestication even. Monsters don’t have reason beyond instinct)
